I was on the ice all day! I never liked it. Now I do. I saw the ice flashing by underneath me with great speed.

I am not on the diet anymore. Since went went away for holidays this summer, I tried to eat things I usually can't eat. Fine. Nothing happened. Now I eat rice, pasta, bread. I still have to watch out for milk and cheese.

I'm also going to school on Mondays now. The best thing is the gym. My teacher-from-home Karin was there to look at me.
During the lesson we put coloured objects where they belonged. We climbed, swayed, hung on the rings. The grand finale was the huge parachute....up, down, and in the end all of us underneath the parachute. Of course I saw that this parachute looks a lot like a hot air balloon from the inside....! I fell over, I had to laugh so much!
As if all of this was not enough, I expected a small soccer game. Maybe next week?

Shove the corn around, like Farmer Jos is doing behind me. The cows eat this all the time when they are inside. When they go outside they eat grass.
I help Farmer Jos with feeding the cows.
Tomorrow I'll go there and this weekend I stay there for 2 whole days!

My good, good friend Ineke is with me today. For the last time! We have worked hard to get to this special day. As of next week I will go to school on Mondays. I have been going on Tuesdays and it's time to expand a bit. So it's nice to do more school work, but it's not so nice not to see her anymore.
I was lucky to have been able to work for almost 6 years with her. We had lots of fun. She has taught me so much.

I have a new project. I like bald heads. In magazines, I cut out all bald heads. I glue them into my bald head book. I cut maybe two or three heads, and then I have to get my book. With glue, I put them on the pages.

Near Vroomshoop we saw a zeppelin. I wanted to go and see. On my new skelter I can go fast! Later that afternoon we also went to the library by skelter.

And what a big surprise this morning....a skelter!! Scott was circling around the skelter, he was so happy for me....so I thanked him especially for this present! Then a bit later, all my girlfriends showed up. They brought even more surprises. We had pumpkin pie. When they were all talking and talking, I said: "hey, heeeey FAMILY, be a quiet a bit!"

A little while ago, when we picked up our new chickens, we had a wonderful time in a corn labyrinth. Throughout the labyrinth, there were all kinds of surprises, like this one here. But I also saw witches, spiders, skeletons. Then again, I showed mom how well I can drive a skelter.

Friday we had a major scare....we were all at the dinner table when suddenly at the back door, there was this stranger! She could not speak and she did not say what she wanted. She then ran away. Mom was scared, she shut the curtains and locked the door. Dad sprinted after the woman. Seconds later, she was at the front door.

(About regrets, feeling sorry, the concept of punishment:
Last week we saw the first signs of regret, wanting to be 'good'. Both
Finn and Nick had been told to put something back where it belongs. They both
refused. They were both punished: no bedtime story.
For Nick, this usually means that he will find some kind of
distraction. He does not 'feel' the punishment. Because the bedtime story is so
important, he must have thought about his behaviour. He came out of his room and
said 'Sorry'. Also, he put back what he had been told to.

We consider this a big, big step.)

All ready to run like I never ran before! Last year, dad helped me along, this year mom did. At the start, I closely followed all other kids. I did not get tired. I ran all the way and never slowed down. near the finish line, I saw my teacher Karin and her husband Robert. That was quite a distraction.
I was very proud of myself after the race. I got a fantastic medal.

When my friend Ineke came this morning, I showed her what I had been looking at with Scott yesterday. Hot Air balloons! We read books, did some riddles, some counting, naming colours. We made a puzzle. Later we played with the garage and we sang songs, we had great fun!
We took a walk around town. I was on my tractor and was Ineke's guide. I told her to go left, right.

Last night I slept well. hardly sick anymore. So we read some books. These glitzy fat elephants we hung above my bed.
Karin asked if I wanted to go swimming. I had my doubts, but after we had the coffee break, I wanted to go. We just played in the pool. Afterwards I was really tired.

Since last thursday I've not been well. A bit of the flu that's been going round. Today I've been watching the gardeners from my room. They're shredding branches. Read some magazines. Listened to how blocks can fall if you drop them. A puzzle.

I concentrated really hard to get this haircut right. Vlok should look nice! Finn had done the teddy bear last week. He cut away the hair around its eyes, so it can see properly now!
